San Antonio to open second early college high school

The San Antonio Independent School District plans to open its second early college high school this year, giving more students a chance to earn college credit while earning their high school diplomas.

On Monday night, the SAISD Board of Trustees approved a memorandum of understanding with the Alamo Colleges to open the new school in August on the St. Philip’s College campus at 1801 Martin Luther King Drive.

"The St. Philip’s College family welcomes the opportunity to provide San Antonio Independent School District students with the essential core foundation for the college education that they will need to compete in the global economy,” said St. Philip’s College President Dr. Adena Williams Loston.
