The Hamilton County Health Department, responding to the measles outbreak in the county just north of Indianapolis, offered immunizations at his headquarters for students and staff from Noblesville schools.
Approximately 29 students and staff received shots at White River Elementary school Thursday morning. The district has confirmed two measles cases, one at White River Elementary and another at Noblesville Intermediate School.
Wednesday afternoon, health officials met with approximately 200 staff members at Noblesville Intermediate School to check their immunization status. Some of those teachers and staff gave blood samples that will determine their immunity to measles.
Approximately 225 Noblesville students were not fully immunized for medical, religious or age reasons.
