Small N.H. town busing students to other schools due to construction delays at new school

Residents of the small New Hampshire town that is home to the only school ordered closed by the state Board of Education for safety concerns are frustrated by delays at a new school under construction.

About 100 Unity students may spend the entire academic year attending school in nearby Claremont due to construction delays at the new elementary school.

The Valley News reports that construction halted in August until the inspectors of the state fire marshal's office can weigh in on the window design for the school.

The Unity Elementary School in 2010 became the first school in state history to be ordered closed for fire code violations.
