South Carolina districts join national tech coalition

Two Midlands school districts have been selected to a national coalition of schools working toward innovation in technology and education.

Richland School District Two and Lexington School District One are two of the nine districts that will join the Digital Promise League of Innovative Schools this week.

"I'll tell you what technology is important to everybody these days and that's why it's important in learning. If you think about all of the resources that are available just right in your hands when you put a computer in a student's hands you know why it's important to learning," said Richland Two Superintendent Debbie Hamm.
