The St. John the Baptist Parish School Board voted unanimously at a special meeting Thursday (June 20) to appoint Kevin George as the new superintendent. George will be in charge of the more than 6,000-student school district.
"This is the only superintendent's job I applied for because I know there are the resources, as well as the infrastructure, to support learning and that is something that caught my eye," George said. "Coming in here all the things are in place. They are just waiting for the right leader, and I believe I am the person for the job."
