Student's broken arm allegedly treated with ice cream bars

A Michigan charter school has come under fire after icing a child’s broken arm with frozen treats and failing to call 911.

Seven-year-old Brianna Hill was playing on the school’s playground last week when she fell and broke her arm. When she was taken to the school office, Sarah J. Webber Media Arts Academy officials did not call 911; instead, they went through her emergency contact list, according to My Fox Detroit.

Officials also treated the injury with ice cream bars, while they waited for Brianna’s aunt to pick her up, according to the station. The school had run out of regular ice.
