Expanding its strategy of exceptional college readiness solutions, Roy Nieto, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SureScore announced that SureScore has completed its acquisition of Campus2Careers (C2C).

The acquisition gives SureScore a leading position in the fast-growing segment of workforce readiness and brings significant opportunity for the two companies to collaborate.

C2C is the first career community to match college students and recent graduates with small and medium-sized businesses for entry-level jobs, internships, project-based work, and volunteer opportunities.

SureScore helps school districts increase their numbers of college-ready students by providing comprehensive K-12 college preparation solutions integrated into classrooms. The acquisition provides SureScore with a digital platform to expand its content offerings and provide students and families with career and college planning tools. SureScore will also begin expanding the job database of C2C to include high school employment and internship opportunities. SureScore impacts the lives of students by increasing college readiness in public schools, particularly those serving economically disadvantaged students.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Campus2Careers to the SureScore family. C2C has a passionate vision of helping college students make effective decisions about their career opportunities. C2C matches each student with career and internship opportunities based upon their unique skills, preferences, and interests. We view it as Match.com meets Monster.com for jobs and internship opportunities,” states Nieto. “We are expanding their platform to include high schools and middle schools. This will enable school districts to develop direct relationships with local and national businesses and provide a platform for companies to recruit directly from high schools. For almost two decades SureScore has been preparing students for college and now with the addition of C2C, we can also help them find their future careers. This completes an important circle for the company.”

Nathan Green, Co-founder and President of Campus2Careers is excited to join the SureScore team. “We have been working in the higher education space for the last four years, and the acquisition will enable C2C to expand nationally and increase the services we provide our students. President Obama recently challenged school districts to develop direct partnerships with industry, and our technology provides them with the ideal tool to connect their students with local employers, jobs, and internships. SureScore and Campus2Careers is a perfect marriage,” says Mr. Green.

A number of school districts have already licensed the C2C platform to place their students into summer jobs, and SureScore is marketing the tool to school districts nationally.
