Teachers to be added under new school budget in N.J. district

The North Brunswick Board of Education has approved a tentative school budget for 2014-15 that would raise school taxes by 2 percent.

The $93.6 million spending plan would result in an increase of $33 on the annual school tax bill of a home assessed at the township average of $157,000.

The school district will receive $11.95 million in state aid — an increase of $126,000 over the current school year.
