Texas Education Commissioner Michael Williams on Friday approved the opening of four new charter schools in Texas next year, including one in Dallas.

The schools are Great Hearts Academies of Dallas, El Paso Leadership Academy, Carpe Diem Schools of San Antonio, and Austin-based Magnolia and Redbud Montessori for All.
