Thornton school board chief ousted over 30-year-old conviction

A Cook County, Ill. judge ousted a south suburban school district board president from office due to a felony forgery conviction nearly 30 years ago but Kenneth Williams said he intends to continue running the board.

Williams was elected to the Thornton Township High School District 205 board in 2009 and re-elected for another four-year term in April, despite widespread knowledge that he had been convicted of forgery in Indiana in 1985.
