Va. and Tenn. Public Schools Help Homeless Students

A year ago, a dramatic increase in the number of homeless students had Twin City school leaders scurrying to find solutions.

With those numbers now relatively stable – about 116 in Bristol, Va., and between 40 and 50 in Bristol, Tenn., both sides of town have established or expanded programming and services designed to meet previously unforeseen needs, many of which are well outside the boundaries of traditional education.
