Washington district asks for tech funds

The Monroe school district isn’t providing enough tech to adequately prepare kids for the world they will inherit, administration believes. So next month, they will ask for two levies. One will be the usual “Learning Levy,” which expires at the end of the year, and the other will be a levy to pay for technology upgrades for Monroe classrooms.

The district would collect $15 million in 2015 and increase by $1 million per year through 2018.
