The West Genesee School Board Wednesday approved a $73.2 million budget for 2013-2014 that will increase the tax bill for a $100,000 home in Camillus by $42.70.
Voters will be asked to approve the budget in voting on May 21. They will also be asked to approve the district’s purchase of six 70-passenger school buses for not more than $660,680, and four 29-passenger buses for not more than $241,305.
The proposed budget is a 4.1 percent increase over the current spending plan of $70.4 million.
The district will hold public hearings on the budget on May 1 in the West Genesee High Schooll library and on May 7 in the high school’s large group instruction room. Both meetings will be held at 7 p.m.
