Year-round classes are coming for some Cleveland high school students

Year-round schooling is likely coming to the students of the John F. Kennedy High School neighborhood and for students of the new Cleveland High School for Digital Arts.

All ninth graders attending JFK and the digital arts school would start their new school year on July 28 this summer, under a plan proposed by Eric Gordon, the district’s chief executive officer.

Students would then have 10 weeks of classes, followed by three weeks off - a pattern that would then keep repeating, with no further definition between school years.
