The American Association of School Administrators has announced four finalists in the 2013 National Superintendent of the Year program. The program, co-sponsored by ARAMARK Education, VALIC, and AASA, in its 26th year, honors the leadership and exceptional contributions to education of public school superintendents. AASA will announce the 2013 National Superintendent of the Year on Feb. 21, 2013, at the National Conference on Education in Los Angeles, Calif.
Computer repair business owner Christopher Baran was taken aback when attending a charity event at the Christian K-12 Shorewood school, Christ's Academy, recently.
Its computers were pretty out of date, he could see, and there weren't enough for the number of students.
"They showed me what they were working with," Baran said, "and it was nowhere near what they should have, and not everything worked. A lot of their computers were several generations outdated."
The National School Boards Association (NSBA), with more than 25 years experience through its Technology Leadership Network (TLN), is pleased to announce the six companies selected for its first Technology Innovation Showcase.
“The Technology Innovation Showcase was created to highlight emerging companies that represent the diversity of new solutions in education,” said Ann Flynn, NSBA’s Director of Education Technology.
