Britannica Digital Learning is developing over 300 new e-books aimed at young children. The majority of the new titles, which will be curriculum-aligned for K6 and below, will encompass science, social studies, language arts, and math. The e-books are expected to be available by June.

Calcasieu is one of several school districts in the state of Louisiana making notable digital technology gains, according to the Louisiana Department of Education. Westerly Public Schools, in partnership with the Alliance for Excellent Education, is participating in the Digital Learning Day campaign. This national campaign celebrates innovative teaching and highlights practices that make learning more personalized and engaging for students.
Westerly is hosting Digital Learning Day events to highlight the innovation happening in schools with Feb. 4-8 designated as Digital Learning Days.

Testing radiation effects emitted by cellphones was difficult to determine for Betty Aita Rukh-Kamaa, a seventh-grader at Robert Goddard French Immersion School of Prince George's County (Md.) Public Schools, but she said assembling her science fair project was much easier.

You may have heard that we recently distributed 6,000 netbooks—or lightweight laptops—to our students, at an approximate ratio of one netbook for every two students. That in and of itself is pretty incredible and made possible by the generosity of our community through SPLOST technology funds.

In a bid to further improve communication with families, the Norwich school district is rapidly expanding its presence on social media networks and other internet platforms.
"We want to open every door to positive involvement. Family partnerships are a component to achieving student success," Superintendent Abby Dolliver said. "Having updated and open communication with parents is another way to meet this goal."
