In preparation of upcoming digital changes in Hamilton City Schools, two teachers within the district will soon take on the role of full-time technology instructional coaches. Zach Vander Veen, director of technology, said he hopes to have the spots filled by the end of the school year.

Lincoln (Neb.) Public Schools will have two former Omaha-area school administrators on its executive team. Liz Standish, 38, controller for Omaha Public Schools since 2007, was hired as the district’s associate superintendent of business affairs, replacing Mark Shepard. Shepard will return as the school district’s associate superintendent for a year, then will become superintendent.

Tim Wilson will step into Carrollton (Mich.) Public Schools in July as superintendent. The district, which is just outside Saginaw, hired the Clinton High School principal on Monday, according to Carrollton school board president Phillip Abney.

Don't have enough credit hours to teach a subject in high school? Apply to a Kansas tech school and teach the college course. Yes, some Kansas tech schools have advertised for instructors of general education courses and the minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree with 24 credit hours of coursework in the subject taught.

The School District of Beloit, Wis. is hiring a Career Technical Education administrator. The new administrator will be in charge of all career technical education programming in the district, including its relationship with Blackhawk Technical College, overseeing advisory committees and curriculum development, working with the counselors for career exploration programming, and more.

The Marcus Whitman Central School District Board of Education has appointed a new superintendent of schools. Jeramy Clingerman, principal of Waterloo High School, was appointed at the board’s meeting Monday. Clingerman replaces Michael Chirco, who will be retiring from the district July 1 after five years.

The superintendent of a five-town midcoast school district in Maine has been hired by the Rangeley Lakes Regional School District. Susan Pratt, who has led RSU 40 for two years, was hired by the Rangeley school board on Tuesday night, according to Board Vice Chairwoman Jennifer Farmer. Pratt will serve as Rangeley’s superintendent as well as the principal of its 200-student K12 school.

Math Recovery, a non-profit mathematics intervention council, announces that Carolyn K. Olijnek joins the organization as its first chief executive officer. Olijnek has supported Math Recovery in numerous ways, including as a mathematics trainer and as a presenter at various Math Recovery Conferences.
