VideoANT is a free tool for collaboratively annotating videos. I first wrote about VideoANT back in 2010. Recently, as I learned from Nathan Hall, VideoANT received a major facelift that makes it easier to use than it was before. The first improvement to note is that the service is now built on HTML5, which means that Flash is no longer needed.

A plan Dallas ISD Superintendent Mike Miles and his cabinet members were considering to extend the school day has been delayed for a year, Miles told district employees Wednesday. For the past several months, DISD administrators had been debating the idea of adding 30 minutes to the school day. Students would have started school 15 minutes earlier and stayed 15 minutes later, adding the equivalent of 11 additional school days over the entire year.
