The National School Boards Association's (NSBA) Technology Leadership Network (TLN) has named its “20 to Watch” honors for 2012-2013. These education leaders from across the country are being recognized for their ability to inspire colleagues to incorporate innovative technology solutions that contribute to high-quality learning environments and more efficient school district operations.

School superintendents across the nation are bracing for the deep cuts of sequestration, the federal policy consequence for continued Congressional inaction. In a report released today by the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), hundreds of districts across the nation provided details describing what the cuts would look like in their district, reporting jobs cut, programs eliminated, and other negative impacts.
Nearly 400 responses from 42 states paint a dreary picture as it relates to the nation’s public schools and the sequester.

Representatives of the country’s 95,000 public school principals gathered on Capitol Hill from February 25-27 to deliver a strong message to federal lawmakers as they consider the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, the Higher Education Act, and other pieces of federal education legislation.
