Schoology to power new online arts curriculum

Henry Mancini Arts Education, a new interactive curriculum created by Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center and its partners, contains 3,000 online dance, music, theatre and visual arts lessons delivered via digital platforms. Available in Fall 2015, the middle and high school lessons will be accessed through the Schoology learning management system.

MBS selects Vital Source

Vital Source Technologies, Inc. has been selected by MBS Textbook Exchange, Inc. to be the digital fulfillment vendor for all of its educational content. The agreement will span both the K12 and higher education markets, and will encompass all of the channels through which MBS will sell digital content, including MBS Direct, and MBS Systems.

New educational course initiative debuted

The New York Times and CIG Education Group have partnered to launch a new education initiative. Starting in fall 2015, NYT EDUcation will provide innovative courses and programs covering a wide array of subjects, ranging from pre-college level to higher education, continuing education and executive education.

Science and engineering game launched by Filament Games

Filament Games introduced its first physical science game, Backyard Engineers. The game challenges students to create the ultimate catapult by customizing mechanical elements to manipulate movement, accuracy and range. Backyard Engineers also includes a teacher dashboard and standards-based curriculum.
