Scenario Learning has released a new SafeSchools Training Active Shooter for Administrators course, written by school safety experts Michael and Chris Dorn. Created for school and district administrators, the course outlines evidence-based methods to improve the odds of survival during an active shooter event.

Monkimun, a game studio that designs language educational games for children, has released Monki Chinese Class, the first free application in its new line of Monki Class products. Monki Chinese Class, available in the Apple App Store, is an app that teaches third-graders and older how to write basic Mandarin Chinese.

Pearson is integrating its GradPoint and PowerSchool applications, allowing customers to synch course and student data on a regular basis. PowerSchool is a web-based student information system while GradPoint is a collection of more than 200 standards-based online courses for students in grades six through 12.
