Google Play for Education has teamed up with Interstellar and Google Certified Teachers to launch a new program for middle and high school students to explore mathematical, scientific and literary concepts discussed in the Interstellar film. Over 20 lesson plans created by Google Certified Teachers are available.

Edgenuity debuted its new Online Learning and Digital Citizenship curriculum, which includes lessons on interacting with digital curriculum, understanding digital leadership and safety, practicing proper “netiquette,” dealing with online harassment and cyberbullying, and a range of other topics.

The latest edition of School Specialty, Inc.'s Language Enrichment Activities for Preschool (LEAP) will soon be available as part of the company’s Early Childhood product offering. The pre-K solution is a multi-curricular program in the areas of language acquisition, literacy, math, social studies, and social and emotional development skills, among other subjects.

NYTimes.com In-School Access, a new digital subscription offering for K12 institutions, has been launched by The New York Times. The subscription offers full web access to NYtimes.com on any device within a school’s IP range, with no login required.

The Los Angeles County Office of Education’s Head Start-State Preschool Division is implementing a tiered model of intervention across all 16 of its delegate agencies. In 2016, the department plans to use the new edition of myIGDIs to begin monitoring the refined early literacy and early numeracy components of its RtI program.

Five short-throw projectors were introduced by Epson. The PowerLite 520, 525W, 530, and 535W projectors and the BrightLink 536Wi interactive projector allow teachers to wirelessly connect up to 50 devices and share students’ work from up to four device screens simultaneously.
