Classroom sound line version announced by FrontRow

FrontRow released a new version of its Juno classroom sound line: Juno Connect. It lets teachers use voice commands to control projectors and other devices, record and post screen capture videos, and initiate and answer intercom calls without touching a computer.

ConnectEDU follows Gates Foundation grant with Ch. 11 bankruptcy

Months after receiving a $500,000 grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Boston-based ed tech startup ConnectEDU has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. In its filing, ConnectEDU cited its inability to pay debt owed to over 200 creditors.

Scholastic launches subscription e-reading programs

Scholastic launched Storia School Edition, a subscription-based e-book solution for pre-K through six, for group and individual classroom reading, and Core Clicks, a web-based instructional program for K5 that supports content area reading in social studies and science.

Common Core course released by Virtual Education Software

National Geographic Learning program approved for Ariz. district

National Geographic Learning's Financial Algebra has been approved for use in Mesa Public Schools' high schools in Arizona. The algebra-based, technology-rich program is developed for and aligned to the Common Core State Standards that use Algebra I skills in a financial setting.
