Verso Learning announced the United States launch of its formative assessment tool, Verso App. Already used by 1,700 K12 schools in 95 countries, the app is free, available through iTunes and Google Play, and works on any mobile device as well as most popular browsers.

Cambium Learning Group, Inc.'s Kurzweil Education, Inc. division launched its newest Kurzweil 3000–firefly literacy software. This version includes nearly 40 updates to Kurzweil 3000 for Windows, Mac, and the web-based firefly that will help learners read and understand content, then demonstrate what they have learned.

McGraw-Hill Education CTB announced the completion of the first cycle of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s new OECD Test for Schools benchmarking tool. General Mills Foodservice and National Dairy Council are partnering again to help K12 schools expand their breakfast programs by offering Fuel Up Breakfast Grants. Schools that participate in the National School Breakfast Program and are enrolled in the Fuel Up to Play 60 program are eligible for the grant program.
