To participate, entrants must complete an online application and upload a three- to five-minute video describing their program. The judges will be seeking applications that illustrate critical thinking, communication, creativity and collaboration between students and among teachers and other members of the school staff.

To be eligible for the competition, teachers must register for, download, and teach the “Rays Awareness” lesson plan which is part of Sun Smart U, The Skin Cancer Foundation’s free and interactive Sun Smart U education program about sun protection.

The preference study included side-by-side comparisons of 3LCD and 1-chip DLP projectors with similar resolution and white brightness specifications. Participants viewed a series of side-by-side images and responded with their preference. Nine out of 10 respondents preferred the image from a 3LCD projector over 1-chip DLP, and of those, 87 percent strongly preferred 3LCD images.

Within a six month period of time district officials were astonished at the drastic reduction in the number of kids visiting the nurse's office with injuries suffered on the playground. No more nasty splinters from the old mulch and a major decrease in head injuries thanks to the playground's new padded underlay beneath the playground's artificial grass surface.
