Kentucky’s eTranscript is provided free to high school students, school districts, colleges and universities by a collaboration among the Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE), the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) and the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA). Several Kentucky secondary schools and universities provided input to create a common transcript as part of this initiative.

As Express Books authors, instructors can now publish and sell their own books to the education and mass market on any web site by utilizing Sharedbook's e-commerce, fulfillment platform and distribution capabilities. Express Books content will also be available as excerpts through the Academic Pub Scholar Collection(TM) for selection by others in custom course packs.

As the Federal Communications Commission prepares to announce a proposal to revise the E-Rate program and provide more opportunities for schools, libraries and other learning environments to secure essential broadband access for the country's students, the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) today announced a series of webinars focused on empowering education leaders to advocate more effectively for much needed updates to the program.

Based on responses from more than 450 district technology and media leaders, the 100+ page report focuses on which types of apps educators see as most beneficial, the price educators are willing to pay for apps, challenges faced when implementing mobile technologies, and the current level of adoption of mobile devices, as well as predictions for the future. In addition, the report includes some responses specifically about Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) models.

Effective July 2013, AcademyOne will continue to maintain, host and provide system enhancements to the PA TRAC portal, Pennsylvania's statewide transfer and articulation web destination. Ongoing training and support will be provided to the 37 participating institutions.

The TeacherLists.com concept is simple: teachers, school staff members and parent volunteers can use the service to post their school supply and teacher wish lists. Then, with a click, they can broadcast the list on their school or teacher website, print the list for sharing with parents, or post the list to any of more than 300 social media sites.
