The Hermiston School District has hired Mattias Rahm as its new technology director. He will replace Bob Silva, who will be the Salem-Keizer School District's director of technology. Rahm is the current technology coordinator for the Sutherlin School District.

The Santa Monica-Malibu USD Board of Education named Bertha Roman as the new director of educational technology for 2014-2015. She has been part of the district's Educational Services team as a teacher on special assignment for education technology for the past six years.

Philip Vinogradov, an Upper Dublin resident currently employed with the Centennial School District, was hired as director of technology for the Upper Dublin school district.

The Pennsylvania district's board voted to hire another person for the district’s technology department, despite opposition from some board members. The board hired Nicholas Gallo as a technology support specialist.

The head of technology for the nation's second-largest school system has resigned, the latest fallout from two troubled technology efforts: the iPads-for-all project and a new student records system. Ron Chandler, LAUSD's chief information officer, started in 2010.

The Spotswood Board of Education appointed Eric Sheninger as director of technology integration and innovation. He was previously the principal of New Milford High School in New Jersey.

The Greencastle-Antrim School board approved the creation of two additional technology support positions. The new positions, an infrastructure engineer and a desktop technician, would be added into an existing five-year contract with Questeq, the company to which district technology is outsourced.

Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School has appointed Sheila M. Harrity as the new superintendent-director of Monty Tech. She has been serving as principal of Worcester Technical High School since 2006.

The Darien Board of Education named Middlesex Middle School Assistant Principal Marc Marin to the newly created position of director of instructional technology. The position will focus on the improved implementation of technology education.
