The Greenfield (Wis.) School District hired Mark S. Kapocius, a municipal judge from Greendale, a suburb of Milwaukee, as director of human resources, finishing off a round of three administrative hires in the district.

The Nazareth (Pa.) Area School District has put out an advertisement for a full-time police officer to begin patrolling schools. During the month of August, the officer will concentrate on improving security measures throughout the district.

The Cherokee County (Ga.) school board voted Wednesday night to conduct an ethics hearing on controversial board member Kelly Marlow. The focus will be Marlow’s request that AdvancEd, the parent company of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, reexamine whether the school system deserves full accreditation.
