Kaneland School District 302 Superintendent Jeff Schuler is resigning to become the next superintendent at Wheaton Warrenville School District 200. Schuler has served the Kaneland district for four years as superintendent.

Tom Siler is the new superintendent of the South Carolina district's 16 schools. His selection as superintendent-elect was announced last week, setting the stage for him to assume oversight of classrooms in mid-2015.

Whitmore Lake High School Principal Tom DeKeyser will be the district's next superintendent as of January 1, 2015. Superintendent Kim Hart is retiring from the district in December after a 33-year career in education and seven years in the role.

Tyler ISD has named Marty Crawford as the lone finalist for its open superintendent position. He has served as the superintendent of schools for the West ISD for six years.

The Sterling Board of Education chose Brenda Needham as its new superintendent. Needham is currently the superintendent at the Rivendell Interstate School District in New Hampshire.

The Santa Clara County Board of Education appointed Jon R. Gundry as the new county superintendent of schools. The sole finalist for the position, Gundry currently serves as superintendent of the Pasadena USD.

Community Consolidated School District 181 has imported another superintendent from the Troy Community Consolidated School District. Former Troy Director of Operations Ken Surma has accepted a position at District 181 as its assistant superintendent of information services and operations. He will rejoin District 181's Superintendent Don White, who was the Troy superintendent until resigning in May.

Billy Haun is leaving his position as assistant superintendent for student learning at Albemarle County Public Schools for a post as the state’s chief academic officer. He will manage the state education department’s instruction division for pre-K through 12 and programs that emphasize college and career readiness.

Chad Allaman, currently the District 51 superintendent, will begin as District 50's superintendent about a month later than planned. August 1 is the final day in District 50 for departing Superintendent Patrick Martin.

Alabama's Jasper City Schools System has a new superintendent. Ann Jackson, currently the principal at Memorial Park Elementary School, will be the district’s new leader.
