Stubblebine, currently superintendent at Monroeville Schools, confirmed both sides have reached a tentative agreement when contacted Friday. The board is expected to approve his contract at 4:30 p.m. Monday at a special meeting.

McFarland is the district’s director of student affairs and had been principal of Hendrickson High School. He also was a superintendent in the Kerens and Stockdale school districts.

The Alabaster Board of Education received 16 applications for its full-time superintendent position. The Board will lay out the next steps in its search for a full-time school superintendent during an April 8 meeting at the Alabaster City Hall Annex building.

Linda S. Lane will retain her position as superintendent of Pittsburgh Public Schools for another three years. The district's Board of Directors this month entered into a new three-year agreement with Lane, effective through June 2016.
