The Hollister School District is adding new technology and teacher support jobs, including four site-specific technology specialists. Under the state's new funding formula, the district will get $3.78 million more in 2014-2015 than it received this school year.

New York's P-TECH names school principal

P-TECH, New York's new technology-infused college and career-training program for high school students, has hired Natasha Walkowicz Shea as its new principal. Most recently, she was the principal of Greenwood Lake Elementary School in Orange County. Walkowicz Shea's new job and the new school are funded by a $2.1 million grant intended to get the P-TECH program off the ground over the next few years.

David Hood, who has been Western Middle School's principal, will become the Western School District's director of instructional technology. In this position, Hood will help all Western teachers integrate technology into their regular classroom lessons.

Heartland Technical Academy has named Bret Hitchings, formerly the assistant director, as the school's new executive director. Former executive director Jodi Ferriell has accepted a new position as director of the Capital Area Career Center in Springfield.

Interim Cobb Schools Superintendent Chris Ragsdale has chosen Angela Bacon as interim chief technology officer. Ragsdale previously hired Bacon as director of instructional technology in 2011, when he was still deputy superintendent.

Cassia County school officials have a new administrator for Cassia Regional Technical Center. Curtis Richins, who taught business education for the last 10 years at Mount Harrison High School, has been hired to replace Carl Voigt.

Vince Green chosen as career tech school's director in Alabama

Vince Green, Limestone County Career Technical Center’s interim director since November 2013, has been named as the permanent director. Career Tech serves all six high schools in the Limestone district and had an approximate enrollment of 500 students during the past school year.

Mary Jane Warden named as director for Illinois district

Mary Jane Warden has been appointed as the new director of innovation and instruction technology for Park Ridge-Niles School District 64. She will replace Terri Bresnahan, director of technology, who will become assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction at Berkeley School District 87.

The Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center board has appointed Christopher E. Moritzen as the new administrative director. He currently serves as director of the Delaware County Technical High School.
