Cassia County school officials have a new administrator for Cassia Regional Technical Center. Curtis Richins, who taught business education for the last 10 years at Mount Harrison High School, has been hired to replace Carl Voigt.

Vince Green, Limestone County Career Technical Center’s interim director since November 2013, has been named as the permanent director. Career Tech serves all six high schools in the Limestone district and had an approximate enrollment of 500 students during the past school year.

Mary Jane Warden has been appointed as the new director of innovation and instruction technology for Park Ridge-Niles School District 64. She will replace Terri Bresnahan, director of technology, who will become assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction at Berkeley School District 87.

The Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center board has appointed Christopher E. Moritzen as the new administrative director. He currently serves as director of the Delaware County Technical High School.

The Winnetka Public Schools will have a new leader when its expanded iPad initiative begins this fall. The board of education hired Maureen Chertow Miller as the new director of technology. She last served as the director of instructional technology at Deerfield High School.

The Brattleboro Union High School Board has appointed Michael Burnett as the new director of the Windham Regional Career Center. For the past year, Burnett has served as interim director, filling in for former director David Coughlin, who left during the 2012-2013 school year.

Frank K. Cote, director of vocational education in city schools since 2011, will leave in June to become superintendent of a vocational-technical high school in southeastern Massachusetts. He will lead the Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical school district in Rochester.

The Pasco County district doesn’t have enough technicians to handle the demands of 80 schools. Under the first year of its reorganization proposal, the Office for Technology and Information Services would grow from 87 employees to 111, with 13 of the new positions being technology services technicians.

William S. Hart Union High School District has appointed a new director of technology to oversee the needs of its 22,000 junior high and high school students. Jon Carrino, who has been with the district since the inception of the technology department, will begin his new post on July 1.

The Plum School Board voted to appoint Chris Burkey, who had been systems administrator in the district's technology department, to the interim technology director position. Burkey replaces district technology director Chris Davis. The board also voted to create a technology integrator position for the 2014-2015 school year.
