Interim tech director chosen by Pennsylvania district

The Plum School Board voted to appoint Chris Burkey, who had been systems administrator in the district's technology department, to the interim technology director position. Burkey replaces district technology director Chris Davis. The board also voted to create a technology integrator position for the 2014-2015 school year.

Massachusetts district names Anthony Ritacco director of technology

Anthony Ritacco has been appointed to the post of director of technology for the Dover-Sherborn Public Schools. He has been with the school system for six years as senior network administrator. Prior to his first appointment in the district, Ritacco served in a similar capacity in the Norton Public Schools.

Vernier Software & Technology and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) named seven innovative science and STEM teachers as winners of the 2014 Vernier/NSTA Technology Awards.
