Psychology, Career Essentials and Personal Finance Electives
American Education Corporation has released three new high school elective courses: Psychology, Career Essentials, and Personal Finance. All three electives meet the requirements of a one-semester high school course and are incorporated into the existing A+nyWhere Learning System, which includes the core subjects of language arts, math, science and social studies. All the electives focus on gaining a broad perspective of the subject through personal exploration. They emphasize essays, projects, journals and constructed responses. Students must research using various resources.
With the Teaming or Teaming + Conferencing solution, users can create online workspaces to collaborate, efficiently manage projects, streamline business activities, leverage Web 2.0 and social software, deploy and support blogs and wikis, store and manage documents with built-in version control, and locate content and experts via search. Teaming + Conferencing adds the ability to collaborate via five Voice Over IP or Web conferencing and instant messaging and can integrate with many features of the company's GroupWise and Open Workgroup Suite.
Rapid Resources allows educators to individualize instruction and fill in missing skills. Over 500 tutorials with practice activities in math, reading, language arts and science are available by grade, subject and state standards.
