Going 1-to-1 with Google for Education

The right combination of technology and content can equip students with the creativity, critical thinking, communication and problem solving skills necessary to succeed in the 21st century. And effective professional development is critical for helping teachers learn how to best use and integrate technology into their curriculum.

Attend this web seminar to learn how administrators at Richland School District Two (S.C.) successfully built and launched a 1-to-1 computing initiative using Google Chromebooks and Apps for Education for their 27,000 students across 36 schools. Two years after their pilot, an administrator will share early positive results and lessons learned.

Topics will include:

  • An overview of the Google for Education solution which includes Chromebooks, tablets with Google Play for Education, and Google Apps for Education
  • How Google for Education can improve student learning, collaboration, and innovation
  • How the school district put the ingredients, like professional development, in place for a successful pilot and roll out

Scheduled speakers:
Donna Teuber
Team Leader for Technology Integration
Richland School District Two (S.C.)

James Leonard
Google for Education Team

Who will benefit:
District administrators and technology leaders interested in successfully implementing a technology pilot, 1-to-1 initiative, computing or web tools and applications. Anyone may attend.
