How Digital Literacy is the Foundation of Academic Success

While a great deal of time, funding and effort is spent on providing the latest education technology to students and creating online assessments, unfortunately these efforts take a fundamental fact for granted: that students already have the digital skills necessary to use these tools effectively.

Attend this web seminar to learn how one district learned the importance of teaching digital skills by using the EasyTech curriculum from basic computer skills to conducting effective Internet research--and saw measurable gains in academic subjects, while enabling students to use technology to analyze and evaluate information, explore, draw conclusions, test theories and acquire knowledge.

Topics will include:

  • The importance of digital skills to today’s students
  • The role digital skills in raising achievement in reading and math
  • The new tools available to help prepare students for the next generation of assessments
