Gov. Doug Ducey releases plan to shrink wait lists at high-performing schools
Two years ago, the Arizona Legislature set aside $24 million for Gov. Doug Ducey's vision to "fund the wait list." The idea was to create a program to help high-performing schools meet student demand.
Since then, the money has sat, waiting for Ducey to put his vision into action.
The Governor's Office rolled out a plan March 13 that will allow K-12 districts and charter schools apply for access to $350 million in state collateral generated from the money set aside in 2015.
