Ray Pinder is the superintendent of Hernando Country School District in Florida. He graduated from Hernando High School in 1987 and has worked with the Hernando School District for more than 31 years in a variety of roles including as a teacher, administrator, director of human resources, and executive director and assistant superintendent.
With almost 10% of our teaching positions vacant, we attracted a wave of new teachers with the promise of on-the-job training—and a free bachelor's degree.
