Confronted with increasing demands to make Los Angeles Unified campuses safer, the district is promoting a new app for students, parents, staff and community members to anonymously report concerns that fall short of emergency police response.

Fairfax County Public Schools is giving some 61,000 students access to the service, which will cost $15 per student per year. The program will cost more than $686,000 for the first nine months.
